Yep, we've moved

Hello, welcome, and thank you for joining Pokémon Big Bang here on Dreamwidth! We're still fixing all the links and tweaking posts here and there, so please forgive any small flubs you might notice.

If you haven't yet joined dw and are just poking around: currently, anyone can make a dreamwidth account until the end of the year. Take advantage of it! And if, at any point in the future, you decide that you'd like a dreamwidth invite code, [personal profile] koyuki and I are in the process of making a wide-scale invite code for everyone to use, as described here.

If you participated in the 2011 round, please feel free to repost your masterlists here! You can copy-and-paste your LJ post into a new post here, if you want. And if you don't want to repost, you don't have to.

As previously advertised, the next round of PokéBB will be starting on April 1, 2012.

A few people said that the minimum wordcount wasn't high enough, so we were toying with the idea of running a mini-bang with the same 10k word count, and then increasing the normal big bang's word count to...something higher. However, there problems with this is that we mods don't have enough time to run two big bangs (one is enough @_@), so we'd have to bring on new mods. How do you guys feel about it? And if we did do this, what do you think the word minimum should be for the normal bang?

Hi! LJ being rubbish inspired me to move here. Not that I use my journal much anyway, but you know, principles.

On Bangs: I don't know if it's a good idea. Especially since a lot of people do a bunch of other writing throughout the year (I think), the risk of burnout is pretty high -- or people would choose to participate in one Bang and not the other. That's not necessarily terrible, but I think it would be disappointing to have two 'separate' communities if you see what I mean.

Not sure about a minimum increase either. Maybe to 15k? I think if people want to write more they can, and a too-high minimum might exclude some people who want to take part.

Well, I think the mini bang might be 7k while the regular might be raised to 15k. The trouble with burnout is that a number of people already thought the minimum wc was too high

...I think we're basically saying the same thing. @_@

The mini bang would run opposite the regular bang so like... starting in October, and people would still have 2 months or so to write.
