Check In!: writing is slow because i'm working on 3 other bigbangs which are due soon. i'll pick up speed soon enough though. i only have 1 artist and we've been keeping in touch. as for beta, can i ask someone to do beta even if they didn't sign up for the challenge? it's hard to find beta because there are so many 'verse in this fandom and most i think prefer the games.

It can't hurt to at least try the pinch-hit post first, can it? Anyone involved in the big bang can offer to beta there.

If that doesn't work, well, it's not like we can stop you if you want to find a beta elsewhere! Do what you've gotta do.

It says this on the pinch-hit post, but—in the claim post, only people signed up as betas can work as betas. On the pinch-hit post, anyone affiliated with the big bang can fill any position, if they have time for it. Writers can work as artists! Artists can work as betas! Betas can work as artists! It's like saturnalia, except without all the chaos. So you stand a better chance of finding a beta, and it's at least worth a try, yes?

that part i missed. but it's okay to go with just 1 artist right? and a beta probably won't have time to work on the fic since i usually finish at the last minute.

Of course it's fine. You don't have to work with anyone you don't want to—if you're happy with your team, don't fix what ain't broken! I just thought I'd mention it, since you seemed to want a beta in your first comment.

tl;dr just do what you feel is right, we're pretty chill mods :D

not really a beta beta but i have a friend who usually does a quick check for SPAGs and typos so i thought i'd ask for a favor, but she didn't sign up for the challenge so i was wondering if that would be allowed.

I feel like we've been going in circles a bit with this conversation, but: while not "officially" condoned, that's fine. Do whatever you've gotta do!

Check In!: This is tricky but after some last minute cosplay emergency stuff (TPCI moved up Pokemon Nationals by a month so I had two weeks to craft a Giovanni's secretary cosplay from scratch) I'm back to writing and trying to get out 1k words a day at least.

Nope, it was optional, although we would have really appreciated a response :(. Is that not an e-mail you check frequently? Should we be using another e-mail for you? (PM us!)
